THE PROCESS

Whether you would like your wedding to be a big festival-style celebration, intimate elopement or something in between, it is of the highest importance that your wedding day feels right for you.

Below, I will guide you through the process, so your wedding journey can be one in the Tranquil Lane.

01/

Initial Shakas

Choosing the right celebrant is a big deal. Make contact with me and tell me about your plans. So long as the date and location are clear in my diary, we’re off to a great start. We'll then have a chat to get to know each other and you can feel whether I'm the right fit for you. This is a good time to ask any questions.

02/

You're Ready To Book

You’ll complete a Service Agreement which confirms your booking! I’ll respond by sending you a Tranquil Lane Resource Pack. This will include information on what legal paperwork we need to get on top of and a 'Planning Your Ceremony’ guide which is inclusive of rituals, readings, poems and ideas to get the creative juices flowing.

03/

Wedding Chats & Intentions

We'll chat about everything wedding-related over a cup of tea or a video call. We’ll complete the necessary Notice of Intention to Marry (NOIM) that you'll need to lodge with me, at least one month prior to your big day.

04/

Crafting Ceremony

Once all the legal brouhaha is out of the way we can start crafting your ceremony. To help me build an understanding of the nature of your relationship so I can write a bespoke ceremony that is just right, I have included a Wedding Questionnaire in your Tranquil Lane Resource Pack.

05/

Rehearsal

Recommended! This is your opportunity to ensure you feel prepared and confident for your ceremony. This is a short sweet version of what's to come the next day and is actually really fun!

06/

The Big Day

It’s likely that your ceremony is the highlight of your wedding day. Everyone, especially you, will feel the warmth and authenticity of your love being taken to the next level.  I'll arrive at least 45 minutes before the wedding is due to start to ensure everything runs smoothly. You say I do, and I marry the two of you!

07/

Further Guidance

After the ceremony, I will complete and post all the documents to the Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) required and provide information on how to apply for your official marriage certificate, how to go about name changing (if required) and provide any further assistance you require as you start your journey as a married couple.
